WRITERS' CONFERENCE
Some time ago, when I first started to try and get my books out in the public.
I wish someone had told me I was going to be a speaker at the Writers' Conference. I was not prepared and I felt foolish standing there in the front of the room. Finally something came to me and I started talking to some of the other ladies. Telling them about my books and after one of the ladies started talking before me, I was a little nervous until the first lady was finished. I felt more at ease and by the time my turn came, I started talking and could not stop. I talked about my story and tried to explain it in simple words.
The ladies at the meeting made everyone feel comfortable. I have done this before but as I said, I was not prepared to speak. After I was finished, everyone was interested in what I was saying and started asking me questions.
It turned out to be just fine.
