BLACK AND WHITE THEN AND NOW

     Well people like it or not here goes.  I was born in Newark New Jersey, where you had mixed black and white.  I say that now, because now is the time it seems to mean something. We all got along.  We walked the streets of our neighborhood without a care in the world.  I lived in an apartment house where we might have to walk two blocks and there was an apartment building that was all black.  When I think of it now, I would be afraid today to have to pass that building.  Not because of who lived there, only because of this BLM situation we have today. We should be happier, smarter, and enjoying life more with what has progressed in time.  I was a 16 year old white girl who had black friends. I’m talking the 50’s and 60’s.  I never used the N word regarding the black people.  Why can’t we get along and live our lives without so much drama.  I’m sure the parents of the BLM group want peace and contentment for them and their families just as much as the next person.  It is the year 2020 and things seem to be out of control now more than ever.  I just wish and pray that we can all get together as one large family.  I know people don’t get along always, but families try to keep the peace among family members and that is my question.  Can we be family, friends neighbors and live in peace for a future of togetherness.  GOD BLESS AMERICA
